Research costs 300 Food and 300 Coin and takes 10 seconds. The effect applies to Tiger Claws only, so it is valuable only when the player has access to and intends to use that unit. The Bhakti Temple site is required; a post at another settlement does not unlock the upgrade.

When to research
Research before deploying Tiger Claws into a fight where their added health can help them remain in contact with targets. The 50% increase is substantial for the named unit, but the technology does not improve the rest of the army. Compare its mixed-resource cost with producing additional troops or improving another unit line if Tiger Claws are not central to the plan.
Durability without a damage increase
Reinforced Gauntlets changes survival, not damage output. Tiger Claws can stay in an engagement longer, but they still need support against units that counter their role. Protect the holy-site post and prepare the upgrade before the force moves out. If the army will use only a few Tiger Claws, the resources may be more effective elsewhere; if they form a major component, the health increase can make the unit investment harder to remove.
