Function & construction
The building trains Scottish scenario forces and occupies a 4-by-4 footprint with line of sight 14. Its role and roster are determined by the scenario; it should not be confused with a generic Barracks or a player-built alliance post. The force associated with it includes Covenanters, mounted ranged troops that can dismount into infantry, so the same unit can change its battlefield role during the mission.
Placement & timing
Use the production site to reinforce according to the scenario objective and protect the approach while units are queued. Its passive Experience can support shipment timing, while its 15-population support contributes to the local mission army. Do not plan Villager construction or standard technology-tree access around the building; follow the War of the Three Kingdoms setup.
Scenario production and passive Experience
Scottish Covenanters is both a military production site and an Experience source at 0.7 per second. The 1,500 hit points and 4-by-4 footprint describe the structure placed in the scenario, not a buildable standard building. Protect it if its unit queues or accumulated Experience are important to the mission’s next phase.
The associated troops can change roles
Covenanter cavalry can dismount and become Covenanter infantry. This gives the scenario force a way to change from a mobile ranged cavalry role to a foot soldier role, depending on the threat and terrain. The building page is about the Scottish production site; consult the separate unit profile and the mission’s roster for the active unit values.
