Effect & research conditions

Research costs 350 Coin and takes 30 seconds. The technology applies to those two Danish unit lines; the new classifications can also affect other bonuses and counters that target gunpowder units. Check the unit panels after research and consider both the direct anti-Artillery effect and any tag interactions in the active version.

Research condition

Available to Danes from the Fortress Age. Research it at Watch House.

When to research

Research when Snaphaner or Mounted Friskytter will fight enemy Artillery and can remain protected long enough to exploit the bonus. Siege resistance helps against building and siege damage; it does not make the units immune. The Watch House and Coin cost are worthwhile when the army contains the affected units rather than a different composition.

Anti-artillery utility and classification changes

Zealand Jaegers has two layers: direct siege resistance and improved bonus damage against Artillery, plus gunpowder classifications for both units. The classification can matter for other effects that check unit type, so the upgrade may interact with additional counters or bonuses. Do not assume every consequence without checking the current unit panel. Use Snaphaner and Mounted Friskytter to pressure enemy guns while keeping them away from opposing anti-cavalry or concentrated fire.
