A Holy Roman Empire variant with fewer, stronger gilded units. Each unit is a larger investment, making preservation and efficient fights especially important.
Use in play
Avoid wasting costly units in unsupported fights. Maintain production and healing while selecting gilded troops that answer the enemy composition.
Gilded units
Order of the Dragon is an HRE variant whose gilded units are individually stronger and more expensive than their ordinary counterparts. This trades unit count for concentrated strength and makes losses more costly. Keep production and healing active so the army can recover after a poor engagement.
Choosing engagements
Gilded units still follow their role and counter relationships: a powerful cavalry unit remains vulnerable to anti-cavalry, and ranged units need protection. Use the smaller force to take efficient fights and avoid spreading it across too many objectives.
