Gameplay ยท Bongo Cat

Bongo Beats are the points currency at the heart of Bongo Cat. The cat taps along with everything you do on your PC, and every input adds one beat to the counter shown under the cat.

How it works

Each keystroke, mouse click, and (with controller support enabled) controller button press registers as a single bongo beat. The counter climbs endlessly in the background while you work, study, or play โ€” the whole point is that you earn beats by simply using your computer. If the number ever gets distracting, the Settings menu offers Reset Counter, which zeroes the visible total without removing any earned items, and Auto Hide Counter, which keeps the tally hidden until you hover over the cat.

Player tips

Beats only do something when you spend them: a reward chest unlocks roughly every 30 minutes and each one costs 1,000 beats, so an ordinary day at the keyboard banks several chests with no effort. Because the counter never caps, there is no penalty for letting beats pile up between sessions.
