Item Exchange

The Item Exchange — nicknamed the Duplicat in-game — is where duplicate drops become upgrades. Feed it ten items of one rarity and it hands back one item of the next rarity up.

How it works

The exchange runs a fixed 10:1 chain across the five tiers: ten Commons become an Uncommon, ten Uncommons become a Rare, and so on up to Legendary. Because a natural Legendary drop sits at 1 in 500,000, grinding duplicates upward is the realistic path to the top tiers — roughly 10,000 Commons for one Legendary if you go the whole way. An auto-exchange option handles the trading for you, and anything you mark as a favorite is ignored by the auto exchange so your prized cosmetics are never sacrificed by accident.

Player tips

Mark your favorites before switching auto exchange on, since it only protects what you have favorited. Favorites double as the pool for the Randomize Cat feature, which periodically dresses the cat from your favorited looks — so the items you protect are also the ones you will actually see.
