Saint Mihai: The God's Warrior
This hagiography tells of Saint Mihai, the valley's most popular saint, who like many saints began as a pagan.
A warrior from distant lands, Mihai came to Vale Sangora to shield the helpless from the dark,
tireless and asking no reward — qualities that moved Tobias, a Christian monk.
Tobias joined him and convinced him to abandon his godless ways for the true Faith;
they travelled the valley for months with Mihai's sword dispersing evil. His end came in the deep swamps
near Maragir, battling a monster so evil its name became blasphemy: he slew it but took mortal wounds.
Tobias, who lost an arm during the ordeal, bore the body home to Svartrau, where the grieving people
saw Mihai anointed as Saint Mihai, patron of Svartrau Cathedral.
