Fighter's Flute - Minecraft Dungeons II Artifact

The Fighter's Flute is the most popular damage artifact in Minecraft Dungeons II. Its music grants critical striking power to any fighter of note: while it plays, every hit you land is a critical hit, worth roughly 50–70% more damage. It holds S tier on the tier list and appears in 9 of the best builds.

Effect and cost

The flute costs 45 souls with a short 5-second cooldown. Guaranteed crits remove all randomness from your damage — you do not need critical-chance rolls on your gear at all. The only real cost is the soul price: 45 souls per burst is steep, so soul generation becomes the build-around. It showed up in both endgame loadouts that beat every boss on Hard.

When to use it

The Fighter's Flute is the backbone of crit builds. The classic combo pairs it with the Warrior Drums, which doubles critical damage — together they multiply to roughly 3.5x damage. Weapons like the Awesomeaxe (whose Strength-on-hit stacks multiplicatively), the Pride of the Plains katana, the Sculker's Bane and the Clobberer all turn the flute's crits into boss-melting bursts. Fast multi-hit weapons also love it, since every single hit crits.

How to get it

The Fighter's Flute drops in Brave Haven, Frozen Highlands and Honeycomb Fields, or as a quest reward. Keep your soul economy healthy with the Twisted Tooth or the Ancient Alchemy enchantment so the music never stops.
