Warrior Drums - Minecraft Dungeons II Artifact

The Warrior Drums is a Fighter and Trickster artifact in Minecraft Dungeons II that fills your warrior heart with rhythm: while they beat, all your critical hits deal double damage. It holds S tier on the tier list and appears in 8 of the best builds.

Effect and cost

The drums cost 45 souls with a 5-second cooldown. On their own they only help critical hits, which is why the drums are almost always paired with the Fighter's Flute: the flute makes every hit crit, and the drums double those crits, for a combined multiplier of about 3.5x damage. Both appeared in the endgame loadouts that beat every boss on Hard.

When to use it

The Warrior Drums are the second half of the game's defining damage combo. Run them on any crit build — the Awesomeaxe, the Pride of the Plains katana, the Sculker's Bane, the Clobberer, the Paragon bow — alongside the flute for boss-melting bursts. Testing shows crit damage multiplies with other buff families (the drums count as ×2.33 in stacked tests), so layer them with Strength from the Battle Banner and +crit-damage armor like the Monstrosity Stompers for the biggest numbers.

How to get it

The Warrior Drums drop in The Deep Dark and Lullaby Hills, or as a quest reward. Feed the 45-soul cost with the Twisted Tooth or the Ancient Alchemy enchantment.
