Salvaging and Inventory Guide

Salvaging converts unwanted gear into emeralds, and with hundreds of drops per session, knowing what to keep and what to melt is a core skill. The payout formula is 30 x (1 + 1.5 x the square root of (power - 1)), scaled by rarity from x0.5 for common to x1.6 for unique. Items won in a Soul Storm pay double; the game's default starting items pay nothing.
Salvage values
A power-20 unique salvages for 361 emeralds; the same item at power 150 pays 926. Rarity matters as much as power: at power 40, a common pays 155 while a unique pays 497. Because the formula scales with the square root of power, low-power items are barely worth the menu time — the real money is in high-power uniques you don't need.
Inventory space
Every inventory category caps at 80 slots: melee weapons, ranged weapons, boots, chest armor, helmets, leggings, artifacts, talismans, capes and pets. Quest items get 100 slots and enchantment books get 200. When a category fills, new drops stop being picked up, so salvage or store regularly during long farming sessions — especially in Soul Storms, where triple-modifier loot rains down.
