Frozen Highlands

Frozen Highlands is a level 26 Overworld region in Minecraft Dungeons II — the last and highest-level stop on the Overworld map, coming after Rainy Plains (level 21). It is the game's snow country: libraries, a fortress, ice caves and a shipwreck scattered across the cold, with eight places inside its borders — the most of any Overworld region.
Mobs
The highlands' four common families are a cold-weather war band:
- Vindicators (25 HP) — axe illagers leading the charges.
- Pillagers (20 HP) — crossbow lines.
- Creepers (17 HP) — ambush explosives in the snow.
- Skeletons (7 HP) — brittle ranged filler.
By level 26 the individual mobs are not the story — the density, the elite variants and the place garrisons are. This is end-of-Overworld territory, and the loot baseline reflects it.
Places of interest
The libraries
Three of the eight places are libraries, each with its own garrison. The Enchanter's Library lists no mobs — a quiet archive. The Evoker's Library is creeping with Creepers and Charged Creepers (30 HP). And the Illusioner's Library is held by Pillagers, Royal Guards (90 HP), Vindicators and Ravagers (140 HP) — one of the heaviest garrisons in the region. The Library Towers mirror that same elite illager mix.
Frozen Fortress
The Frozen Fortress fields Vindicators, Pillagers, Skeletons and Vanguards (72 HP) — a straight-up military stronghold and the region's namesake fight.
Ice Caves
The Ice Caves hold Skeletons, Vanguards, Pillagers and Spiders — a mixed cave system where the vanguards are the ones to watch.
Fishing Hut
The Fishing Hut lists a single resident: the Evoker (430 HP miniboss). Like the Red Tower in Rainy Plains, it is a designed duel — one miniboss, one arena.
Shipwreck
The Shipwreck is crewed by Skeletons, Zombies, Baby Zombies (8 HP) and Vanguards — undead sailors and their illager officers in a frozen hull.
Loot and chests
Every place page records its doors and when they open, what is fought inside and how many chests it holds — with eight places, the Highlands are a chest-runner's dream. Region-wide loot follows the standard rules (commons roll no effects, rares one, specials two; tiers scale with threat), at the highest Overworld baseline in the game. When the drops here stop being upgrades, the road leads to The Sift.
