Bow

The Bow is the archetypal ranged weapon of Minecraft Dungeons II: a simple, dependable weapon that hunters once used on game and now turn against the Illager army and its monsters. As a light weapon it draws and fires quickly, making it a comfortable pick for heroes who want to chip away at enemies from a safe distance while their melee skills recharge.

Stats and mechanics

The Bow is a well-rounded weapon with no extreme highs or lows. Its calculated DPS places it in C tier on the weapon tier list, which makes it a solid middle-of-the-road choice rather than a damage powerhouse. Like every ranged weapon in Dungeons II, it fires arrows from an unlimited quiver — ammunition regenerates on its own, so there is no need to conserve shots or hunt for pickups. Enchantments can further specialize it, and its light weight keeps it responsive when repositioning between volleys.

How to get it

The Bow drops in Brave Haven, Honeycomb Fields and The Deep Dark, so it is available early and stays within reach throughout a playthrough. Check merchants and mission rewards as well as enemy drops.

Builds and playstyles

The Bow suits generalist ranged playstyles and pairs well with the enchanting system for adding crowd control or damage-over-time effects to its shots. Heroes who later want a more specialized string weapon can graduate to the Longbow for longer reach, the Shortbow for faster handling, or the Greatbow for heavier hits. Players who prefer the punch of bolts over arrows can look at the Crossbow line instead.
