Shooting Star

Shooting Star is a unique bow in Minecraft Dungeons II with a defensive streak: alongside its arrows, it gives the wielder a standing chance to simply dodge incoming melee hits. Wish upon this star and you will slip past enemy strikes — then shoot back. It holds an A tier spot on the weapon tier list, carried largely by that defensive trait rather than its shots.
Stats and mechanics
The built-in effect grants a 20% chance to evade melee damage — one in five melee swings against the wielder simply misses. For a ranged weapon, that is unusual and valuable: archers are most vulnerable when enemies close the distance, and Shooting Star turns that weakness into a coin flip in the hero's favor. Its Ranger + Trickster archetype and light weight keep it nimble. Arrows are unlimited and self-regenerating, so offense never pauses while the evasion does its quiet work. Enchantments that reward survivability or punish close-range attackers fit the theme.
How to get it
Shooting Star drops in Frozen Highlands and Humbler Huskland. It appears as the unique roll of the Shortbow — any Shortbow drop can come out as this one, so farming that weapon's sources is the way to hunt it.
Builds and playstyles
Shooting Star suits archers who fight in the thick of things or play solo without a tank to hide behind, and it anchors the S-tier endgame Awesomeaxe crit, Warding Chimes build. It pairs well with enchanting choices that boost survivability or punish attackers. Heroes who like the mobile-archer fantasy can compare it with Phantom Wing for jump-shot bonuses, while crowd lovers may prefer Humbler Heartstring's piercing arrows. The plain Bow is the honest baseline.
