The Shackler

The Shackler is a unique crossbow in Minecraft Dungeons II for heroes who like their enemies exactly where they left them. It fires chains that pin targets to the ground — nobody escapes the Shackler — with nearly a third of its hits inflicting the Chained status, locking targets down so the rest of the fight comes to you on your terms.

Stats and mechanics

The built-in effect gives attacks a 30% chance to inflict the Chained status on hits — a strong, consistent crowd-control rate for a weapon that never stops firing. Chained enemies are easier to focus down and harder to be overwhelmed by, which makes The Shackler as much a defensive tool as an offensive one. With the Fighter archetype and a light weight, it sits in C tier for calculated DPS. Bolts are unlimited and self-regenerating, so the control never runs dry. Enchantments that punish immobilized enemies or add further debuffs compound the lockdown.

How to get it

The Shackler drops in Brave Haven, Honeycomb Fields and Humbler Huskland. It appears as the unique roll of the Crossbow — any Crossbow drop can come out as this one, so farming that weapon's sources is the way to hunt it.

Builds and playstyles

The Shackler suits control-oriented heroes who manage the battlefield rather than just damaging it. It pairs well with enchanting choices that reward debuffs or punish stationary targets. Trick-shot fans can compare it with the Trickbow, crowd fighters with the Scatter Crossbow, and bow loyalists with the plain Bow.
