CAMPAIGN · THE ART OF WAR
Destroying a Castle
Build an early siege force and protect it while it attacks a fortified position. Battering Rams are the direct Castle Age answer, while supporting troops keep defenders away from the siege line.

Overview

Player approach
Destroying a Castle is a timed siege lesson where advancing Ages can consume the medal window. Build a lean economy, produce several Battering Rams, and use cavalry to distract the defenders.
Step-by-step plan
Keep the build in the starting Age and queue only enough Villagers to reach the required wood and gold. Build four or five Battering Rams and a small cavalry group, then move as one toward the enemy Castle. Send cavalry ahead to pull defending units away while Villagers follow the Rams and repair them under fire. Focus the Castle rather than clearing the entire base.
Risks and adjustments
Age advancement delays the siege and can cost the medal. Rams are vulnerable while closing the distance, so use cavalry to keep defenders occupied and bring repair Villagers with the attack.
