Overview

Defend the Aztec world amid the arrival of Spanish forces.

Scenario details

Defend the Aztec world amid the arrival of Spanish forces. Mission order and scenario notes: 1. Reign of Blood — Secure four shrines across a contested region and bring a separate Relic to each. The monasteries themselves are the objective, so newly built ones cannot substitute for them 2. The Triple Alliance — Use the opening Eagle Warriors as messengers, then build a base and unite against Tlaxcala. The alliance turns hostile after the first war, so prepare for a second campaign against former partners 3. Quetzalcoatl — Fight through dense forest between the Aztec base, Tlaxcala, and the Spanish. Captured horses can be exchanged for cavalry, while protecting Tabasco is an additional challenge 4. La Noche Triste — Guide a small force through hostile territory while Cortés races to complete a Wonder. Rescue reinforcements where practical, but prioritize reaching and destroying the Wonder 5. The Boiling Lake — Pursue the retreating Spanish across Lake Texcoco and break a fortified coalition. Expand carefully across the lake, protect your navy from cannon ships, and use the marked plaza to turn captured resources into reinforcements 6. Broken Spears — Hold Tenochtitlan against attacks from the causeways and lake while building land and naval forces. The besieging coalition must be defeated on every front Use the named objectives, starting setup, and mission order in this entry to distinguish it from the standard skirmish rules.
