CAMPAIGN · THE AGE OF KINGS
The Maid of Orleans
Relieve Orléans by moving a supply convoy through contested territory, then hold the city and break the siege.

Overview
Relieve Orléans by moving a supply convoy through contested territory, then hold the city and break the siege.
Player approach
The Maid of Orleans begins with a fast cavalry route to Blois, followed by a Trade Cart escort to Orléans. Split the early movement from the slower swordsmen, then use the Castle to recover and organize the convoy.
Step-by-step plan
Take the cavalry northwest toward Blois while leaving the Swordsmen to follow later. Avoid the Burgundian patrols if possible; reaching the Castle brings reinforcements that can handle pursuers. Then move Joan and the six Trade Carts north from Blois, leaving injured units safely garrisoned. Follow the riverbank toward the crossing and keep the carts behind a screen while cavalry scouts the next bend.
Risks and adjustments
The Trade Carts must survive, and the Burgundian cavalry can catch a slow convoy. Do not bring the carts into the first fight; heal or garrison damaged troops before starting the escort leg.
