GUIDE · BATTLE STRATEGY
Boom safely into a large army
Booming invests in Villager growth before building a large force. It is strongest when walls, map layout, or allied support give the economy time to mature.

Overview
Booming invests in Villager growth before building a large force. It is strongest when walls, map layout, or allied support give the economy time to mature.
Plan and execution
On a defensible or closed map, add Town Centers when resources permit, keep their Villager queues active, provide housing, and place Farms to maintain food income. Set rally points so new workers immediately gather or build, and research useful economic upgrades without starving the later army.
Risks and adaptation
A boom leaves fewer resources for immediate military and can be punished before the extra economy pays back. Scout for pressure, keep essential defenses, and switch workers toward army production when the opponent advances.
