Overview

Find the structure or resource sustaining a fortified position instead of charging every defense at once.

Plan and execution

Scout defensive coverage, identify a weaker approach, and gather an escort with a Siege Workshop force. Use Battering Rams against key structures or Trebuchets where range and protection make them practical; focus one objective before advancing.

Risks and adaptation

A frontal assault into overlapping defenses can destroy the army. Watch for counter-siege and change targets when defenders concentrate.

Decision example

Start by identifying what the defense protects: a Castle over gold, several production buildings, or the only crossing. A Siege Workshop and escorted Ram can remove a reachable structure, while a Trebuchet can force a later Castle fight from safer range. Clear mobile defenders before exposing siege and keep an army at home if the opponent can raid around the front. After one structure falls, rescout; the best next target may be a newly open resource rather than the nearest building.
