Overview

Camel Archer: Camel Archers can support a mobile cavalry army against ranged units and provide a hit-and-run option against Halberdiers. Their mounted-archer role also lets them challenge opposing mounted archers while staying mobile.

Plan and execution

Keep Camel Archers behind or beside the main cavalry force and focus fire on exposed ranged support. When Halberdiers threaten the cavalry, kite them in open ground rather than allowing a direct melee engagement. Use their speed to relocate between flanks as the enemy army turns.

Risks and adaptation

Their mobility does not make them safe in a crowded fight or under defensive fire. Avoid stopping within reach of cavalry or anti-cavalry units, and use a sturdier unit to hold ground when the army needs to defend a fixed point.
