GUIDE · BATTLE STRATEGY
Fast Castle follow-through
Reaching Castle Age quickly matters only when the new options are used promptly. Decide what the timing is meant to unlock before the advance completes.

Overview
Reaching Castle Age quickly matters only when the new options are used promptly. Decide what the timing is meant to unlock before the advance completes.
Plan and execution
During the advance, scout and prepare the appropriate Stable, Range, Monastery, or Castle plan. Keep Town Center and defensive needs in view, then spend the new Age’s resources on a defined objective rather than floating them.
Risks and adaptation
An opponent who advances later may still attack first with a larger Feudal army. Delay greedy production if the base is exposed and use a defensive unit or building to protect the timing.
Decision example
The age-up is only the beginning of the plan. Before Castle Age arrives, decide whether the first spend is Knights, Crossbows, Monks, siege, or a new Town Center, and prepare the appropriate building and resource split. Scout for enemy Feudal pressure during the advance; defend if needed so the arriving power spike has an economy behind it. If the opponent has already closed the intended attack route, use the timing to secure Relics or outside resources instead of forcing a bad push.
