Finehair raiding-and-research plan
Finehair uses an unusual economy: Harald’s Hall research unlocks Villagers, Fishing Ships provide food, and gold comes from raids, defeated enemies, or a few mines. A mobile navy helps turn early raids into the resources needed for later upgrades.

Overview
Finehair uses an unusual economy: Harald’s Hall research unlocks Villagers, Fishing Ships provide food, and gold comes from raids, defeated enemies, or a few mines. A mobile navy helps turn early raids into the resources needed for later upgrades.
Plan and execution
Start Fishing Ship production and use the initial force to raid nearby Saami camps for food. Push against the Southern Jarls to open the river passage toward the Norse gold, then send Longboats to pressure exposed buildings while Transport Ships move troops between useful shores. Spend Hall research on upgrades that expand the economy or army when their payoff fits the timing; take cheaper steps if waiting for a costly technology would stall growth.
Risks and adaptation
Gold is scarce and every research choice competes with the next one. Do not risk the whole fleet in a defended harbor or send raiders too far from a retreat route. Protect transports, keep fishing production working, and avoid buying an expensive upgrade before there is enough food and gold to use its benefit.
