Golden Swamp map strategy
Golden Swamp surrounds a resource-rich central island with shallow water and difficult terrain, linking land access with control of nearby water.

Overview
Golden Swamp surrounds a resource-rich central island with shallow water and difficult terrain, linking land access with control of nearby water.
Plan and execution
Scout the channels and usable crossings, then approach the island with a force that can protect miners and answer raids. Secure one side before spreading to gold or stone, and use naval units to watch deeper water and prevent an unopposed landing.
Risks and adaptation
Control of the shoreline does not automatically secure every land approach. Keep vision around the island, avoid splitting the army across both terrain types, and preserve another resource source if the center is lost.
Decision example
The central resources are valuable, but their water and land approaches make an early unprotected mine risky. Scout the crossings, secure one approach with an army, then send a small group of miners under vision. Fishing and warships can support control of the surrounding water when a Dock can be defended. Keep a backup gold source and a retreat route; an opponent who controls the opposite side can still raid the center even if your fleet holds one shore.
