Harbinger of Destruction alliance-and-river plan
Harbinger of Destruction begins with a battle across a frozen river and offers an early alliance that sends recurring resources and Konniks. Keep the opening army compact, then use the rivers to organize a defensible expansion.

Overview
Harbinger of Destruction begins with a battle across a frozen river and offers an early alliance that sends recurring resources and Konniks. Keep the opening army compact, then use the rivers to organize a defensible expansion.
Plan and execution
Pull the troops together before engaging so melee units can intercept the first attackers while the Cavalry Archers stay protected from the flanking wave. After the fight, send the mounted force north to impress the cyan player and deliver the requested tribute promptly; the ally’s food and Konniks provide more value when secured early. Establish the base around river crossings and use a mobile group to connect the western, central, and eastern banks.
Risks and adaptation
The second wave attacks from two directions, so scattered archers can be caught before the first fight ends. Tribute timing affects recurring support; do not delay it while spending resources on optional troops.
