Overview
Ragnar is an open-ended campaign where capturing islands and Warrior Halls increases population and unlocks new options. The Blót bonus rotates on a timer, so plan settlement and research around the reward you want.
Plan and execution
Capture the lightly guarded Monastery opposite the starting base, then settle the two marked islands to gain an early map advantage. Expand toward Warrior Halls to raise the population cap and unite one Norse kingdom for its additional units and technology. Watch the Blót cycle and begin research when the desired ship, infantry, building, or transport bonus is active. Keep a fleet and landing force ready to connect the islands rather than spreading Villagers without naval cover.
Risks and adaptation
The Blót reward changes every 20 seconds, with two bonuses using a shorter interval, so starting research at the wrong time can waste the opportunity. Do not occupy islands faster than you can protect their routes, and scout before attacking a Monastery or Hall defended by a larger force.
