Overview

Razing Hellas starts with a force that can quickly take Sparta, then use its surviving structures and Villagers to help against Rome. Preserve useful buildings rather than razing the settlement.

Plan and execution

Spend the opening resources on infantry upgrades, Pikemen, and ranged support for the Men-at-Arms and Huskarls. Use the Siege Tower to bypass the gate when the route permits, then focus on Sparta’s Town Center while leaving Towers and other buildings intact. Once Sparta changes sides, use its defenses to protect the new flank and keep its Villagers gathering so their resources can be tributed later. Apply the same capture-first approach to other cities when it creates useful production or defensive coverage.

Risks and adaptation

The early force includes counters that can be overwhelmed if it attacks every target at once. Keep Pikemen and ranged support together, and do not destroy Towers or Villagers that become valuable after the faction turns allied.
