Reaching South siege and ally route
Reaching South starts with a small base under repeated Ming attacks. Build a stable economy and siege force, then use the locals’ passage to reach the final hill objective.

Overview
Reaching South starts with a small base under repeated Ming attacks. Build a stable economy and siege force, then use the locals’ passage to reach the final hill objective.
Plan and execution
Queue Villagers immediately and defend against the initial Crossbowmen and Skirmishers with a compact counter force. Add a Castle, advance to Imperial Age when the economy can support it, and use Trebuchets to remove Ming towers, gates, and the Castle blocking the causeway. Meet the southwest locals and build their Mill to reveal the route that cuts off the Ming fleet. Escort the hill assault and place a Castle there to complete the objective.
Risks and adaptation
Ming pressure grows over time, so do not launch a weak early assault. The northern Archery Range and Market are optional; preserve the Market if its trade income is more useful than completing that side objective.
