Rocketry improves several Chinese siege options and changes the role of Lou Chuans, so it is most useful when the army already includes Rocket Carts, Scorpions, or a naval front. Protect the siege while it fires into clustered targets.
Plan and execution
Research Rocketry when those siege lines are active, then use Rocket Carts or Scorpions behind a durable screen against dense armies and structures. On water, keep Lou Chuans grouped behind a frontline fleet and use their spread attacks to pressure clustered ships or shore positions. Scout for Onagers and other siege counters before taking a stationary fight.
Risks and adaptation
The improved damage does not remove the siege units’ vulnerability to Onagers or mobile dives. Do not invest if the composition is moving away from these units, and avoid clustering Lou Chuans where Demolition Ships can punish them.
