Overview

The Exile of the Cid begins with El Cid alone. Recover Bavieca, recruit units that switch to your side, and follow the revealed southern route rather than fighting every guard.

Plan and execution

Move El Cid east to the Stable and mount Bavieca before Alfonso’s forces close in. Lure the Long Swordsmen out of tower range, then recruit the Knights and Pikemen who change allegiance near the Mill. Avoid the Scorpions and swordsmen east of the mountains, collect the Gaia Camel Riders, and follow the clue toward the southern path. Keep El Cid with the recruited screen as the next objective triggers.

Risks and adaptation

El Cid is the only starting unit and must survive. Tower fire punishes direct approaches, while optional fights can trap the small group before the route opens.
