The Fall of Rome Wonder-timer assault plan
The Fall of Rome sets several Wonder deadlines that begin at different moments, some tied to approaching enemy territory. Expand through the Alpine chokepoints, delay unnecessary triggers, and concentrate each assault on a Wonder and its city center.

Overview
The Fall of Rome sets several Wonder deadlines that begin at different moments, some tied to approaching enemy territory. Expand through the Alpine chokepoints, delay unnecessary triggers, and concentrate each assault on a Wonder and its city center.
Plan and execution
Build a secure economy behind the narrow eastern and southern approaches, then add forward staging points that shorten marches between cities. Avoid scouting too close to trigger-sensitive settlements until the army and siege are ready. Use a durable core of Heavy Cavalry Archers and Halberdiers with Trebuchets, drawing enemy groups toward defended choke points before moving on the next Wonder. Prioritize the earliest active deadline, destroy that Wonder, and then remove the city’s Town Center to end its resistance. Keep Attila protected inside a Castle except when an objective specifically requires him.
Risks and adaptation
Padua’s first Wonder starts almost immediately, while other cities react to elapsed time or proximity; check timers before choosing a route. Do not activate several cities and let their deadlines overlap. Huns have limited defensive tools, so avoid leaving the starting approaches open while the main army travels; the southern lake is a poor early Dock location if it draws enemy attention.
