The Field of Blood layered-Cuzco defense
The Field of Blood turns a failed opening battle into a siege defense of Cuzco. Use the enemy’s delay to build layered walls and a three-Town-Center economy before the main assault reaches the city.

Overview
The Field of Blood turns a failed opening battle into a siege defense of Cuzco. Use the enemy’s delay to build layered walls and a three-Town-Center economy before the main assault reaches the city.
Plan and execution
Once the defense begins, seal the city approaches with Stone Walls and add Palisade maze segments behind them to slow breaches. Build three Town Centers while the allies occupy the enemy, mine the limited stone, and reach Imperial Age for Fortified Walls and defensive upgrades. Place Castles near the Temple of the Sun, garrison them with Crossbowmen, and repair or add wall layers as the front is attacked.
Risks and adaptation
The initial battle is meant to be lost, so do not waste units trying to reverse it. Stone is limited and the enemy will attack multiple sides; prioritize the Temple and the most exposed entry before spending on optional towers.
