Overview

The Mandalay Cobra removes conventional walls, Towers, and Castles, making Pagan’s Monasteries and their Relics the key to its gold economy. Defend the six sites from multiple directions and use trade where the lake route is safe.

Plan and execution

Keep units near the Monasteries rather than spreading them evenly across the map. Use houses or other permitted buildings around vulnerable sites to slow melee access, and move a mobile reserve toward whichever Monastery is under attack. Protect all garrisoned Relics so gold income continues, and establish trade through the allied eastern Dock to supplement the limited local gold.

Risks and adaptation

If a Monastery is heavily damaged, its Relic may be ejected and lost, cutting off a major gold source permanently. There are no walls, Towers, or Castles to buy time, so do not rely on buildings alone; keep the army ready to rotate between attacks.
