When to research
Research when the economy can sustain the mixed-resource cost and a Tufohen can join a planned push or defend the settlement. Because the research takes a full minute, begin it early enough for the hero to arrive before the decisive engagement. If the base is under pressure, spend the resources on units already available from production buildings instead.
