Effect & research conditions
Research costs 125 Wood and 125 Coin and takes 10 seconds. The three +2 benefits apply to Chakram Throwers: they see farther, can attack at longer ranged distance and can begin siege attacks from farther away. The upgrade does not increase their damage or hit points. A Trading Post or Tambo must be connected to the Udasi Temple settlement to unlock the research.

When to research
Research before committing Chakram Throwers to a fight where extra vision or reach lets them engage from safer positions. Longer range can help them begin attacks without moving as close, but it does not remove the need for a screen or protection from units that close the gap. If Chakram Throwers are absent from the army, spend the resources elsewhere.
Range and vision, not raw damage
Army of the Pure grants +2 line of sight, +2 ranged attack range and +2 siege attack range to Chakram Throwers. These are positional improvements: the unit can see and engage from farther away. The technology does not raise its attack damage, so its value comes from safer contact and better approach information rather than a direct damage spike.
An allied-site upgrade
Access depends on a Trading Post or Tambo on an Udasi Temple site. Once the connection is secured, the 10-second research and 125 Wood plus 125 Coin can be completed quickly. Protect the site and keep the affected units alive long enough to benefit from their improved reach.
