Call the People Ceremony

Call the People Ceremony is the Native Community Plaza’s Exploration Age military option, summoning Warriors over time. It converts assigned Plaza workers into early defenders or attackers. Definitive Edition renamed it from Alarm Dance; Call the People Ceremony is the current name.

Effect & access

Each assigned Villager produces one Warrior every 50 seconds. With 25 Villagers the interval is about 1.8 seconds; with 15 Villagers and 10 Warrior Priests it is about 1.2 seconds. Production stops at eight Warriors. Summoned Warriors lose hit points over time, so leaving them idle wastes value.

When to perform it

Choose it when the army needs early units and Plaza workers can be spared from gathering. More assigned population increases the arrival rate, but the eight-unit cap and health loss reward active control. Rally Warriors to a defense or attack instead of letting them wait.

Population changes the arrival rate

This is a stream, not a one-time shipment. More Plaza workers shorten the interval, and the documented Warrior Priest example increases the rate further. Production stops at the cap, and summoned Warriors gradually lose hit points.

Worker assignment controls arrival speed

Call the People produces Warriors continuously rather than delivering one fixed group. Each assigned Villager produces one Warrior every 50 seconds; the documented example with 25 Villagers shortens the interval to about 1.8 seconds, while 15 Villagers and 10 Warrior Priests shorten it to about 1.2 seconds. Production stops when eight Warriors have accumulated. These figures make worker assignment a tactical choice: more assigned workers create a faster wave but also remove more labor from gathering, and workers should be reassigned when the cap is reached.

Keep the summoned units active

Warriors lose hit points over time, so the ceremony's output is wasted if the group waits at the Plaza. Use it when an early defense or attack can absorb the arrival stream, and rally units toward the actual threat. The eight-unit cap limits how far it can bank reinforcements while the player is busy elsewhere. Definitive Edition uses the name Call the People Ceremony; older references to Alarm Dance describe the earlier name for the related option.
