Role, availability & values

The Bandit’s hand attack deals eight damage, its ranged attack deals 16 every three seconds and its siege attack deals 14 at range six. It has line of sight 17 and grants 22 Experience when killed in the current version; update 14.43676 raised the bounty from 20. The guardian can appear alongside other defenders, so use the group present at the site rather than this profile alone to estimate the danger.

Matchup & timing

Scout the treasure before sending an Explorer into range. Its speed lets it close distance quickly and its 40% ranged resistance reduces the efficiency of a ranged-only cleanup. Bring support if the hero would take too long to defeat it, clear accompanying guardians and collect only when the site is safe.

A mobile guardian with ranged resistance

Caravan Bandit moves at speed 8 and resists 40% of ranged damage. The 16-damage ranged attack reaches 14, so an Explorer may be hit while approaching from outside hand range. Use support and avoid allowing the Bandit to chase the hero away from friendly units.

The bounty changed in a Definitive Edition update

The current kill bounty is 22 Experience after update 14.43676; the earlier value was 20. This is a reward for defeating the neutral guardian, not a training reward, and it does not make the Bandit recruitable. Once defeated, the Explorer can claim the associated Treasure if no other guardians remain.
