Effect & research conditions
Research costs 150 Food and 150 Coin and takes 10 seconds. The effect is limited to the Archer’s bonus against Villagers; it does not raise damage against every target or grant a general attack increase. The Carib settlement must be secured and the player must use Archers for the bonus to matter.
Research condition
Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on a Carib settlement.
When to research
Research when Archers are part of the army and the opponent has workers exposed on distant Hunts, mines or other resource sites. Pair it with scouting and a safe approach so the bonus can be applied to real targets. If the opponent defends workers with cavalry or concentrated infantry, invest in the units needed to protect the Archers before the specialized bonus.
A narrow anti-worker modifier
This upgrade rewards selecting Villagers as Archer targets; it does not replace general-purpose unit improvements. Its value depends on reaching gathering workers and keeping Archers firing. Scout a route that avoids defensive buildings, then retreat before enemy cavalry can engage the ranged line. The settlement link is both the source of the technology and a map objective worth defending.
