Carib
Carib is an Age of Empires III minor civilization from South America. It appears on maps including Amazonia, Caribbean, Florida, Hispaniola, Orinoco. Players can establish an alliance at its settlement to access its local units and research.

Settlement & allied options
A Trading Post at the settlement unlocks the alliance. Inca players use a Tambo for the same purpose. The listed allied roster includes Carib Blowgunner. Its settlement offers these technologies: Carib Kasiri Beer, Carib Garifuna Drums, Carib Ambush Party, Carib Ceremonial Feast. The available roster and technologies can vary with the selected map and release.
When to ally
Scout the map for a Carib settlement before spending resources on an alliance. Use it when the listed unit or technology fills a need in the army or economy, and protect the Trading Post that provides access.
Blowgunner damage and poison
The Commerce Age Carib Blowgunner costs 65 Food and 35 Wood and trains in 30 seconds. It has 160 hit points, 10% ranged resistance and 5.0 speed; its ranged attack deals 19 damage at range 10 and its hand attack deals 9. Carib Kasiri Beer adds poison to the ranged attacks of Carib Blowgunners and Carib Ambushers, with the poison lasting six seconds, and increases hand infantry and archer damage by 10%. The unit’s poison profile has reduced multipliers against cavalry and shock targets, so use it to pressure appropriate infantry rather than treating poison as equal damage to every class.
Settlement technologies and unit progression
Carib Kasiri Beer costs 250 Food and 250 Coin and takes 60 seconds. Carib Garifuna Drums costs 150 Food and 150 Coin and adds 1.0 to the Archer’s bonus damage against Villagers. Carib Ambush Party is a Commerce Age, 200 Wood and 200 Coin technology that lets heroes train Carib Ambushers. Later, Carib Ceremonial Feast follows Champion Carib and adds 50% hit points to Carib Blowgunners and Carib Ambushers, upgrading them into Feast Warriors. These options respectively support poison and damage, worker pressure, additional unit access and late durability.
Where and how to ally
Carib settlements are listed on Amazonia, Caribbean, Florida, Hispaniola and Orinoco. A Trading Post unlocks the alliance, while Inca use a Tambo; the Native Embassy can train the allied unit. Secure the settlement before investing in the longer 60-second poison technology, and check whether the map has a safe route for the post and the resources needed for the chosen upgrades.
