Effect & research conditions
Research at a Trading Post or Tambo on a Carib settlement after Champion Carib. It costs 400 Wood and 400 Coin and takes 10 seconds. The technology changes the named Carib units into the Feast Warrior form; it does not grant a general hit-point bonus to all units. Secure the settlement and retain the affected units if you want the upgrade investment to benefit the army.
Research condition
Industrial Age; Carib settlement; requires Champion Carib
When to research
Research when Carib Blowgunners or Carib Ambushers are a meaningful part of the force and the match has reached the Industrial Age. The extra durability can help them survive longer in repeated engagements, but does not change their role or eliminate their counters. If few eligible units remain, train or reinforce them before paying the cost.
A two-step upgrade path
Champion Carib is the prerequisite, followed by Carib Ceremonial Feast. The latter changes Carib Blowgunners and Carib Ambushers into Feast Warriors with 50% more hit points. Keep the prerequisites in order and do not mistake the effect for a standalone technology that can be researched on any Carib site at the start of the game.
Durability for an existing allied force
The technology costs substantial Wood and Coin for a short research time. It is most useful when the army already contains the named Carib units and expects them to remain in combat. The hit-point increase helps preserve units, but their attack type, movement and matchup limits still apply. Support them with the rest of the army instead of sending the upgraded group forward alone.
