Central Plain
Central Plain is a land Random Map in Definitive Edition, set in China’s densely populated central grasslands. An extensive Trade Route runs across the open terrain, and the map features Shaolin settlements and abundant wildlife. Trading Post control is an early economic and military objective rather than a side activity.

Map character
Scout the length of the route and the Shaolin Temple sites before deciding where to place Trading Posts. The route is exposed across open ground, so opponents can contest posts and move between settlements quickly. The map’s listed treasure guardians include Black Bears, Black Panthers, Blind Monks, Lions, Monitor Lizards, Pandas, Smugglers, Tibetan Macaques and Tigers; actual treasure groups depend on the generated seed. Wokou Horsemen and Wokou Monks are listed as Outlaws.
What to scout
Prioritize route scouting and a safe first post if your Home City plan depends on shipment progress. Because the route spans open plains, an unsupported post can be lost quickly; guard it or deny the opponent’s posts. The Shaolin settlement can offer an alliance choice, so compare its units and technologies with the army you intend to field before spending on the site.
An open route rewards control
The Central Plain description emphasizes an extensive route over open grassland. Posts are easier to see and approach than in a map with narrow forest corridors, which makes vision and timely reinforcement important. A player can gain shipment progress from the route but should expect competition at the posts rather than assume a long uncontested trade line.
Shaolin access and treasure scouting
Shaolin Temple is the listed Minor Civilization. Treasure guardians on the map can include wildlife and Wokou-associated guardians, so scout the exact group before sending an Explorer to collect a reward. The map’s feature list describes what can appear; it does not mean every match contains every guardian or places the Shaolin site near each start.
