Role, availability & values

After choosing the campaign’s Chinese Mercenaries alliance, the Company costs 400 Export, takes 20 seconds to train and uses six population. The alliance also grants its campaign gathering bonus. Larger mercenary groups are separate Consulate options with different compositions and costs, so inspect the mission’s choices rather than assuming this Company scales automatically.

Training & availability

Campaign-only Chinese Consulate Banner Army in Act II: China; Commerce Age; select Chinese Mercenaries; 400 Export; 20 seconds; 6 population; 3 Manchus.

Matchup & timing

Use the Company when three Manchus fit the mission’s force limit or provide a needed ranged response. Account for its Export and population cost, and keep the Manchus with troops that can protect them from close-range pressure. Since the unit exists in the campaign’s special Consulate rules, do not plan a random-map opening around it.

A small campaign formation tied to an alliance choice

The Chinese Mercenary Company is a compact group whose access depends on selecting the Chinese Mercenaries alliance in Act II: China. Its three Manchus arrive together, so the player receives a defined formation rather than choosing individual mercenary types. The 400 Export cost and six population compete with other campaign needs. Review the mission objective and force limit before training; the Company is useful when it fills a specific role, but it is not a universal substitute for the campaign’s regular army.

Correct availability

Chinese Mercenary Company is a campaign-only option for the Chinese in Act II: China; it is not part of the standard skirmish Consulate roster. Choose Chinese Mercenaries at the Consulate and reach the Commerce Age to train three Manchus. The delivery costs 400 Export, takes 20 seconds and uses six population.

Small mercenary group

The company is a three-unit package rather than a full Manchu production line. Use it when the mission permits the alliance and a small specialist group supports the objective. Preserve the six population and allow time for the delivery; the name should not be taken to mean that ordinary Chinese multiplayer games have this company available.
