Role & threat profile

A Crocodile has 210 hit points, speed 7, line of sight 9 and a 13-damage hand attack every 1.5 seconds. The swimming form has 50% ranged resistance, making ranged attacks less effective against it in water. Scout which form is present and bring a hero or support that can safely engage the guardian.

Combat values

Clear the Crocodile and any other guardians before claiming a Treasure. Avoid sending a low-health Explorer into the water alone, and account for its fast movement when approaching the site. The swimming form’s resistance makes a purely ranged response less efficient, so use suitable support and do not expose valuable ships while the Treasure remains guarded.

Terrestrial and swimming guardian forms

The two Crocodile forms share the guardian role and core combat profile, but the swimming form receives 50% ranged resistance. That distinction matters when choosing whether to focus it with ranged troops or send a hero and supporting units. Both move quickly and can punish an Explorer who approaches without enough health. Reveal the Treasure area first, clear the whole group, and only then send the hero to collect the reward. The Crocodile is part of the African Royals Treasure encounters, not a livestock or hunting resource.
