How the unit or object works

Treat geese as environmental decoration when scouting a map. For a Food opening, look for listed huntable animals such as Deer or Turkey instead. In a custom scenario, use Goose as a visual map object rather than promising players an economic interaction.

Scenery object, not an economic animal

The Goose’s recorded 20 hit points and 6.0 movement describe a decorative Scenario Editor object. It cannot be selected, hunted, or assigned to a Livestock Pen in ordinary play, so it does not provide Food or affect the economy. Keep this distinction in mind when comparing map scenery with actual huntable animals.

Do not count scenery as gatherable Food

The Goose’s 20 hit points and 6.0 speed belong to a non-selectable scenery object placed in some environments or through the Scenario Editor. It cannot be hunted or herded in ordinary matches. Use actual huntable animal pages when estimating Food access.
