When to research

Research Indian Friendship when the named units or matchup are relevant: Native warrior hit points +25%. Finish it before the affected force enters combat, and retain resources for counters and reinforcements; this modifier does not remove the units’ other weaknesses. Use the Church for research. Research takes 15 seconds and costs 1,000 wood.

Campaign-only Native durability upgrade

Indian Friendship belongs to John Black’s Mercenaries in Act II: Ice. It becomes available at the Church in the Fortress Age after sending the Royal Decree to Claim the New World Home City Card. It costs 1,000 Wood, takes 15 seconds and increases Native warrior hit points by 25%. It is not a general Indian civilization technology.

Use it for a sustained Native force

The bonus helps when a mission provides a continuing Native warrior force. Wood spent here can delay buildings or upgrades, so research when the army will benefit before the mission advances. Confirm the campaign act and Home City prerequisite; ordinary multiplayer decks do not gain it through this route.
