Role, availability & values
The wagon has 500 hit points, moves at 5.0 speed and takes 30 seconds to train in its recorded profile. Its construction list depends on civilization and mode; “most buildings” does not mean every structure or a free construction in every ruleset. The wagon itself is not a combat unit.
Matchup & timing
Use it to establish infrastructure near a planned front or resource area. Decide on the target building before moving and scout a safe site, then escort the wagon across contested ground. In Empire Wars, account for the mode’s starting setup and avoid building structures the opening already provides.
Construction restrictions and Empire Wars start
The Infrastructure Wagon has 500 hit points, 5.0 speed, 18 line of sight and 20% siege resistance. It can build most buildings available in the current Age, but not special structures such as Town Centers, Ports or Factories. The Empire Wars Wagon is the mode-specific version: every civilization receives the appropriate wagon with shipments, and the starting number depends on the selected starting Age—one in the Fortress Age and two in the Industrial or Imperial Age. It cannot build structures such as Tribal Marketplaces, Strongholds or Wonders. Its appearance changes to match the civilization’s construction style, including a Travois, Rickshaw or African Builder. Decide which building the opening actually lacks before moving the wagon; the unit saves Villager travel and can place infrastructure forward, but it does not provide the building’s resources or production for free.
Appearance and special-building limits
The Empire Wars version adopts the construction-wagon appearance associated with its civilization, such as a Travois for the Haudenosaunee or Lakota and a Rickshaw for Asian civilizations. Despite the visual change, the mode’s construction restrictions still apply: the wagon cannot place Wonders or certain special civilization buildings. Check the current Age’s building list before planning an opening around a structure the wagon cannot construct.
Flexible building deployment
The Infrastructure Wagon is a Definitive Edition construction unit used by the United States and by Brazil and Peru in their respective contexts. It can transform into most buildings available to its civilization and current Age, but it excludes special structures such as Town Centers, Ports and Factories. In Empire Wars, the related Empire Wars Wagon arrives with shipments and can construct most buildings regardless of the civilization being played. The wagon has 500 hit points, speed 5, 18 line of sight and 20% siege resistance.
Plan the structure before the wagon arrives
An Infrastructure Wagon takes 30 seconds to arrive in the listed profile and is valuable because it can turn a shipment into immediate infrastructure without a worker travelling to the site. Decide which production, housing or defensive structure is needed before sending it, then choose a safe placement area with enough room for its footprint. It cannot bypass age requirements or build every unique structure, so check the available transformation menu. In Empire Wars, the broader access of the Empire Wars Wagon belongs to that mode and should not be assumed in standard matches.
