Role, availability & values

Under the recorded profile, the order takes 60 seconds, costs 1,600 Export, uses 36 population and grants 160 experience. It requires the Chinese Consulate’s Chinese Mercenaries option. The 12 Ninjas and 24 Sohei Naginatas arrive as one named army; reserve the unusually large 36 population before ordering. The force is not part of the Japanese civilization’s ordinary unit production despite its name.

Training & availability

Campaign-only Chinese Consulate Banner Army in Act II: China; Industrial Age; select Japanese Mercenaries; 1,520 Export with the Japanese Mercenaries cost bonus; 60 seconds; 36 population; 12 Ninjas and 24 Sohei Naginatas.

Matchup & timing

Use it only when the Chinese economy and population cap can support a large late-game delivery. Check the mission or current Consulate interface for access, then escort the group together so its components can engage with support. A 60-second order is a planned reinforcement; do not depend on it to stop an attack already at the base.

A Chinese Consulate force with a Japanese name

The Japanese Mercenary Army is a Chinese Consulate selection, not an army trained by the Japanese civilization. Its 12 Ninjas and 24 Sohei Naginatas use 36 population in the recorded profile. The name describes the source of the mercenaries; the player access and resource planning belong to China’s Consulate system.

A major population and time investment

At 36 population and 60 seconds, this is one of the larger scheduled Consulate forces. Ensure the army cap has room and that other production will not consume it before arrival. The 1,600 Export cost competes with other Consulate choices, so compare the unit mix against the opponent and the needs of the next objective before placing the order.

Campaign access and large population cost

Japanese Mercenary Army is available only to the Chinese in Act II: China after selecting Japanese Mercenaries at the Consulate and reaching the Industrial Age. With the alliance’s cost bonus it uses 1,520 Export, takes 60 seconds and occupies 36 population. The delivery contains 12 Ninjas and 24 Sohei Naginatas, so it requires a large reserve of both population and mission time.

Two close-combat groups

The force combines Ninjas with a larger Sohei Naginata contingent. Keep the two groups together while they cross the map and avoid committing all 36 population before checking the scenario’s next objective. The company is a campaign army, not a standard multiplayer shipment; its alliance and composition should be evaluated in the context of Act II rather than the normal Chinese Consulate roster.
