The Klamath settlement upgrade pays according to elapsed match time, not the number of Villagers assigned to it. After the one-time research at a Trading Post or Tambo on a Klamath settlement, it sends Food crates every three minutes, with deliveries capped at the 30-minute mark. The current Definitive Edition value is 150 Food per delivery, up to 1,500 total; older versions provided 100 Food per delivery, up to 1,000. The upgrade itself costs 150 Wood and 150 Coin and takes 10 seconds. Its value is therefore strongest when the match has already run long enough to accumulate deliveries, while a player needing immediate Food should compare it with direct gathering or a shipment.
