Mansa Musa Epic is a Commerce Age Hausa technology researched at the University after choosing the Songhai Alliance. For 500 Influence and 10 seconds of research, it returns Coin equal to 10% of the player’s cumulative resources earned from mining and Trade Routes, subject to separate source caps.

Effect & research conditions
The mining-based Coin return is capped at 100,000 Coin, while the Trade Route-based return is capped at 2,000 Coin. The formula uses total resources earned from those activities and pays the result as Coin when the technology is researched; it does not increase future mining or route rates. Hausa access, the University, Commerce Age and Songhai Alliance are all part of the listed condition.

When to research
Research after substantial mining or Trade Route income has accumulated so the retrospective 10% payment is meaningful. Earlier research can return less because fewer resources have been earned. Check whether mining or route income has already reached its cap and spend Influence only when the resulting Coin arrives in time to fund an army or upgrade.
A retrospective Coin payment
Mansa Musa Epic measures resources already earned from mining and Trade Routes, then grants Coin equal to 10% of those totals. It does not improve the rate of a Mine or Trading Post and does not continue to pay as new resources are earned after research. The separate limits are 100,000 Coin for mining income and 2,000 Coin for Trade Route income.
Research timing changes the payout
The 500 Influence cost is fixed, but the returned Coin depends on the economy’s prior activity. A player who has mined and used Trade Routes for a long time can receive more than one who researches immediately. Because it takes only 10 seconds once the Songhai Alliance and University are available, it can be timed near a planned expenditure, provided Influence is not needed for a more urgent Hausa option.
