Function
A University can be set to generate Influence or Experience. Its Sphere of Influence improves generation when it is placed near relevant Hausa buildings, so location can affect the value of a second University; some Home City Cards add further nearby support effects.
Placement & timing
Build and position Universities according to the resource the Hausa economy needs next. Choose Influence when it supports Hausa units and technologies, or Experience when Home City shipments are the higher priority.
Hausa economic and alliance center
In The African Royals, University is an Exploration Age Hausa building with a 5-by-5 footprint, 3,500 hit points and a limit of four. It costs 200 Wood and 200 Coin and takes 30 seconds to build. It trains Griots, researches Alliance technologies and automatically generates Influence or experience at 0.75 per second under its supported rules. It is a Hausa structure, not a universal research building.
Placement and protection
Hausa Villagers and counterparts, the Emir, Kingdom Builder and University Builder can construct it; up to eight builders may work. Its Sphere of Influence ability ties the building to Hausa support mechanics, while Alliance technologies connect allies to later unit and economy choices. A safe University can continue producing its passive resource and research options; a forward one risks interrupting both. Confirm the selected Alliance before investing in a dependent path.
