Pampas
Pampas is an original map whose play area has a tilted rectangular boundary. That shape affects how long it takes to scout across the map and where an opponent can approach from. The map’s resource and objective positions still vary, so its geometry is a planning aid rather than a fixed route script.

Map character
Send the Explorer along the long edge and across the corners to reveal additional resources and any approach that a circular scouting pattern would miss. Keep track of distance from the Town Center when choosing a forward Trading Post or expansion site, because the boundary can make one flank much longer to reinforce.
What to scout
Use the expanded edges to locate a safe route or avoid a crowded center, but keep a mobile defense near the longest approach. Build production where it can reach the objective and still receive reinforcements without leaving workers exposed.
Scout the full rectangular boundary
The tilted rectangular play area changes travel distance and approach angles, so the shortest map route may follow an edge or cut across a corner. Use the Explorer to reveal the long edges and corners rather than scouting only around the starting Town Center. Resource and objective placement still varies between generations; use the map shape as a guide, then adapt to the actual seed.
